"Why you little..." you grumble. You run at the kid and
tackle him, grabbing him around the waist. He starts kicking, screaming, and sobbing.
You stand up, putting the kid over your shoulder. The kid starts to pound his fists against your back.
"Ow...ow...ow..." you say each time his hand hits you. You start to walk
towards the edge of the water. "You know *ow* kid, you brought this *ow* upon
yourself. *ow* I hope you can *ow* swim..."....
...and with that, you toss him into the water with a *SPLASH!*. You watch
on the edge of the water to see what will happen. Some bubbles rise to the surface.
Some more bubbles. And more. You begin to wonder what happened to the kid.
Finally the kid surfaces, to your relief. You weren't feeling like playing
lifeguard today. The kid sputters and kicks wildy, until he reaches the side of the lake.
"So," you say, hands on hips, "did you learn your lesson?"
In response, the kid gave you a dirty look. You smile. "Well, that'll
teach you to throw rocks at people."
Just then, the kid let out this skull-piercing wail. When he's finished,
you open your eyes. Now the kid has a smirk on his face, and is waving at
something. You turn to see what it is.
It's his older brother. And at a distance he already looks at least a head
taller than you.
"Crud..." you say. You turn and dash away back up the river, looking for a
way out. You notice a willow tree that you could easily climb to the top of.
You decide to hide there.
