You decide to be honest
You figure that this guy is a little smarter than he looks,
so you better not risk telling a lie.
"STATE YOUR BUSINESS BEFORE I LOSE MY PATIENCE!!" the guard bellows.
"I....actually....I saw the mountains from the forest over there.." you point,
but realize that you can't see the forest from here.
The guard raises an eyebrow.
You quickly continue. "Anyways, I saw the mountains and thought they were really
quite nice, so I decided to come and see them first-hand. I followed that path," you
point again. "...and I arrived here at your doorstep," you end, and smile, thinking
that it'll help make the story believeable.
No luck of that.
The guard re-raises his eyebrow. "Oh really? How do I know you're not a spy
from a foreign land?"
Your eyes widen. "I'm not a spy! I'm just a traveller who thought the mountains
were something to see. I had no idea there was a castle here!"
The guard chuckles. An evil sound. "Right, spy. Give me one good reason
why I shouldn't throw you in jail without further negotiation?"
"Well..." you begin, "...I haven't done anything criminal!"
The guard smiles and shakes his head. "That's what they all say. FRONT GUARD!"
A group of five guards come out the front door, and look up to the guard on top
of the wall. "Yes sir!"
"Sieze that spy!" the guard replies, pointing at you.
The five guards smile. "Our pleasure," replies one of them.
"Take that spy to the dungeon!"
Your eyes widen once again, but in horror.
Well, it was a nice try!
